Our History

David McCoy Computer Repairs and Sales was established in 2006 with one mission: to bring a reliable, high quality Computer Repair Service to the Kyneton area. Our passion for excellence is what inspired us to open up our shop, and continues to drive us to this day. All our repairs are completed with meticulous detail, resulting in a product that is as good as new.

David started with Personal Computers in 1977 when his high school got its first Mac computer. He moved to working with Commodore and later Amiga computers where he learnt the basics of computer programming. His Amiga 500 became the first computer he pulled apart and rebuilt, upgrading to in effect become an Amiga 600.
He had also started pulling apart and rebuilding IBM clone pc's starting with a dead 286. It was during their time he learnt to use Microsoft's DOS and software packages such as WordPerfect and Quattro Pro. 
He continued adding on to his experience adding networking and internet through the nineties, along with increasing his knowledge in Operating systems from Windows 3.0 through to Windows 2000 and programs such as MS Office and Adobe PageMaker. 
In 2004 he started work for a computer shop in Kyneton and in 2006 he and his wife started Kyneton Computers which became David McCoy Computer Repairs and Sales in 2013. 
Since then he has added repairing and servicing Apple computers to his repertoire while adding to his knowledge of Microsoft and other programs as well as the advancements in Computer Technology.
